“Do not be hasty with your decisions, Rach…” These words never failed to move me. It was the time when I’m about to give up work and was about to pass my resignation letter. It was so immature of me to quit the job just because the pressure is aimlessly high, and handling it gives me stress. I was part of a team where people work for definite reasons. And the team was handled by a Boss. He’s a very moody boss who will kick the office drawers because the team’s performance was not good. At times, he will sing an alternative song so loud, not caring if he’s out of tune or not. He will play “Cyclone” in his mobile phone and dance in place while smiling (which is very rare to see!). Once he started clapping, everyone will start clapping too, even without reasons. He dubbed all those under him “SPARTANS” because we are trained as corporate slaves. And the list goes on and on. My mind is spilling of words to best describe him, but it wasn’t sure enough to illustrate how I admire this person, how I wish I can be like him someday, and how I look up to him as my Boss.
![]() The tree named, "Malaya Legaspi". ![]() The e-mail about his resignation being approved made the whole production floor hushed and everyone kept asking why, why and why. But people come and go for some reasons, and every person should accept that fact. Maybe I was the first person who gave a positive response to it, knowing that my attachment with him is well-built and sturdy, that it’s just so hard to detach. All that’s left are words of wisdom to ponder, which you can carry with you wherever you go and share to other people. It’s been so much nice working with you Boss Mal. In barely four months of knowing you, I’ve learned A LOT. I am more than thankful you shared with me your brainy thoughts about work and life. You’re the best mentor and motivator I have had, in case I haven’t told you that yet. And this I can promise: I am so proud to be one of your “Fruit”. “The tree is more than first a seed, then a stem, then a living trunk, and then dead timber. The tree is a slow, enduring force straining to win the sky. “ |

Masayang alalahanin ang pag-uusap tulad nito: "She's one of my biggest mistakes..." "If you are, then I'm glad I made you one" Minsan, masarap magkamali kahit alam mong mali talaga ang lahat kahit saan mo ito tignan, tapos naging masaya ka sa ginawa mong pagkakamali. |
