Sometimes, when I’m staring into the walls in my room (because I can’t sleep), a lot of things are pouring inside my head. Things like: what will I do tomorrow, what I shall buy on my pay day and even what would I be when I turned 25 years old – which is 3 years from now. Growing-up pains sucks, especially when you’re wedged with a juvenile mind, only scheming a Mac book, pairs of havaianas, and gimik with friends on a weekend, because parents doesn’t want you to contribute on household bills so you’re just exerting yourself everyday for your own *ahem* needs. So let’s go back to the thought of me being a 25 year-old not-a-girl-but-almost-a-woman kind of thing. I plotted some targets to aim at before I will turn 25. Why 25, in case you ask. It’s because, some of my aunts married at the age of 25, a successful, and real career begins at 25 (most career women, that is), and life can be most dreading at 25. But these are all speculations based only on my observations, haha! One of the things I like doing most is doodling on a piece of paper and make up endless lists of what to do’s, put check on what I’ve done, and cross out superfluous stuff. It brings out the neurotic, true-blue Virgo in me, lol. Keeping a record of what you want in your life makes it more exciting. The more you review it, the more you keep on persisting to make it come to pass. As a result, I had made a check list here of the goals I wanted to achieve before I turn 25 years old, and then will go back on this same page on my blog again August 27 of year 2010 to see what happens! Before I turn 25 years old, I should: - Buy myself a car (with my own savings, of course) - Have a stable, high paying job that can support my future family (I might not marry by the age of 25, though) - Visit the States, me buying my own roundtrip ticket from Manila to Los Angeles - Be super-fluent in Mandarin - Quit smoking, and be fit - Learn to put the cheek tint perfectly - Give my sister some support for her studies (not the tuition fee, gosh!) - Make a contribution on some household bills (the cable would do, right Ma, Pa?) - ACT MY AGE AND LOOK MY AGE! The ticking of the clock can be hasty sometimes. So, my timer should start NOW. |
