I finally finished my layout! Whew! I decided to switch to Tabulas because I can customize my page more... and there is a tagboard (unlike in LJ). It took me the whole day designing, reviewing and coding html's, selecting colors, fixing the tagboard, blah blah, ratatat.. But it's worth the sweat. Teehee. How I love blogging! |

I attended the high school graduation of my sister this morning and memories of my high school days suddenly began to appear vividly on my mind. I was smiling out of the blue when the ceremony of handing the diplomas is currently onstage. Surely, it’s one of the days I wished to return back to. Dredging up when I was 16 years old, during my senior years with my navy blue skirt and oversized blouse, I remembered singing the national anthem onstage with my co-chorale members whenever there is a program in school. Exchanging letters everyday with my seatmate (who is my best friend, until now) and lunch breaks at the cafeteria. Cutting CAT classes and got a reprimand for wearing socks with piglet on it and insisting to Manong Guard that my plain white socks are all soiled to let me in. In high school, you learned to copy homeworks from your classmates and put a piece of paper with the trigo formulas in your scientific calculator during quizzes. It’s when you’ll meet your first love and feel the first kilig-to-the-bones. It is where you meet true friends who will become your “friends forever”. It’s where you seek independence, a stepping stone for escalating yourself to the next platform, which is college. And it will make you weep during the day of your graduation, no matter how stone-hearted you are. So there I was in St. Joseph’s Auditorium, with a grin on my face. The person beside me have this strange look on his face, wondering why I’m smiling and staring blankly. I would exchange anything I have to turn back time when I was still in high school. I miss it heaps! Ohhh, by the way! CONGRATULATION GRADUATES OF BATCH 2007! (and to May-May, my one and only sister!) |
